If you are an art enthusiast, the first thing you will consider is what type and what quality of art materials you should use. Here are some of the basics - the must have art supplies for your kit.
Paints, Colour Pencils, Acrylic and Pastels: At the top of the list are the paints. Paints come in different sizes and are for different uses but often, you will notice that there are smaller tubes that are relatively more expensive than the larger tubes of paints.
This is because the cost of these paints depends on what ingredients are used; such as those with gloss effect or relative permanency.
These paints also come in a wide spectrum of colours. They also have different qualities, such as fast drying paints and others.
Brushes: There is wide range of brushes, all of which serve a functional use to an artist or an aspiring artist. Brushes may come in synthetic or natural hairs, typically from animals.
Brushes also come in different sizes. Because of the cost effectiveness, most artists use the synthetic brushes because these tend to be less expensive than the other kind.
Pens, Pencils, and Erasers: These are basic art supplies for making outlines and sketches. Almost every painting, unless if you are an experienced artist, would have to start with sketches before defining and colouring it. Pens and inks are excellent for cartooning.
Papers and Canvases: The drawing papers or the canvasses are available in different sizes and in different grade depending on your painting needs. High absorbent papers are best for painting on papers.
